Mesh integration in London.
Clarity from expertise.
-
Mesh integration may be suitable for women experiencing fine hair, reduced density, thinning around the crown or more significant hair loss. Suitability depends on your existing hair, scalp condition and individual circumstances. A professional consultation is essential to assess your hair and determine whether mesh integration is an appropriate option.
-
Protecting your natural hair is an important consideration when choosing any hair integration method. Correct fitting, appropriate tension and regular professional maintenance are essential. Your existing hair and scalp should be assessed before fitting, and any concerns about breakage, sensitivity or ongoing hair loss should be discussed during your consultation.
-
Mesh integration requires regular professional maintenance to accommodate natural hair growth and keep the system in good condition. The frequency depends on your individual system, natural hair growth and maintenance requirements. Your recommended maintenance schedule, appointments and associated costs will be explained before you begin. Generally, clients will come back 4 weeks after their initial fitting for a “pinch forward” where the system is tightened, then 4 weeks later (8 weeks from the original fitting) we do a full removal and refit.
-
Your lifestyle is an important part of choosing the right hair integration system. Washing, exercise, swimming and styling requirements can vary depending on the system and fitting method. These activities and the appropriate aftercare should be discussed during your consultation so you understand how to look after your hair day to day.
-
The cost of mesh integration depends on your individual requirements, the system selected and the amount of hair needed. It is important to understand both the initial fitting cost and ongoing maintenance costs before committing. Your personalised quotation and recommended maintenance plan will be discussed during your consultation, so you can make an informed decision.
A personal approach to hair loss
Hair loss is personal, and finding the right solution should be too. Every mesh integration journey begins with understanding your individual concerns, hair history and desired result.
From your initial consultation to fitting and ongoing maintenance, the focus is on creating a personalised solution that considers your natural hair, lifestyle and confidence. No two hair journeys are the same, and neither should their solutions be.
The process & client journey
Initial consultation
My beautiful client reached out to me via instagram enquiring about mesh integration after struggling with androgenic alopecia for years in silence. I invited her in for a consultation where we discussed her hair history, concerns lifestyle and expectations. It is important to me to make sure mesh is the correct solution for you and if another solution may work better I will always recomend that first.
After assessing her suitability for mesh we got to the fun part- choosing her dream hair. Every step of the way I help to guide with weight and density of the hair so it looks and feels as natural and comfortable as possible, but the colour? You can literally choose your dream hair with none of the damage!
Fitting and Styling
We booked her big day shortly after the hair was ordered, always on next day delivery to make your transformation as smooth as possible!
The appointment was only 2 hours long, arriving with clean dry hair as recommended we began to build her base, weaving her natural hair through breathable mesh material, checking in that everything was feeling comfortable as we go. This is the foundation of your system so it must be comfortable and secure.
Once the base is secure we sew on the topper and wefts, watching in real time as her new hair comes to life. With full control of the cut and style she opted for a fringe and feathering around the face - a style she always used to have before hair loss and it was just magical to give her back her old look and confidence again.
Aftercare & maintenance
Home care should be kept as simple as possible so I always try my best to break it down:
Safe Sleep - Low loose plait or ponytail to avoid tensions and tangling overnight. Wearing a silk bonnet is a must. Do not sleep with wet hair.
Safe Wash - Once weekly as your system wont get greasy, shampoo the topper in gentle circle motions, do not scrub to avoid unnecessary shedding. When you think you are finished rinsing, rinse again. Condition mid lengths and ends only.
Safe Wear - Brush gently from root to tip. Always dry your hair 100% after washing. Heat protection before drying and styling. Oil mid length and ends every night to keep hydrated.
Maintenance - 4 weeks after initial fitting, come for your pinch forward where I tighten the beads, minimising unnecessary tension 4 weeks after that (8 weeks from fitting) is your full removal and refit, I cleanse the hair and treat your scalp then refit!
